Story
Florence, a game designer and parent, begins to notice a shift in their relationship with a married coworker.
In what started as a close friendship full of long meetings, inside jokes, and emotional support, everything begins to tilt. The coworker sends texts at night. He gets quiet and intense. As the tension grows, Florence, craving connection and struggling with their own mental health, falls head-first into the deep end.
Messy Hearts is a true-inspired visual novel about blurred lines, emotional enmeshment, and what happens when boundaries collapse. It’s about longing, rejection, power dynamics, and the aftermath of a relationship that was never clearly defined.
The story is told through journal-style narration and pixel art.
How to Play
Click the buttons, read at your own pace, and do your thing. This game works with a cursor, touch, or keyboard, and is made for casual play.
